Math Exhibition
Reflection:
During this project I learned a lot about the origination and uses of matrices. If I were to change something about my research, I would probably refine my paragraph structure and make sure that it has a nicer flow to it and it makes sense what order different facts from sources come in. One thing I wish we could do in this project is not only do research but do matrix problems as well. I did not gain any knowledge on how to solve a matrix and I wish that could’ve happened during this project. In conclusion I thought this was a very engaging project that taught us about the uses of math in life and how it benefits people.
What would you do differently if you were exhibiting your project again?
I would want more people to observe my work and ask more engaging questions with me. I did not really have the opportunity to talk to people and share what I have learned. I would want to show a more exciting piece of work that I had conducted this year that is appealing to the audience.
What do you see as your greatest strengths and weaknesses moving forward into future math classes?
I would say that my greatest strength that I have gained this year is the ability to stay focused and on task when it comes to studying for math tests. I like to excel in the tests we are given through the years because I know they are a big part of my grade. I think I do a great job of studying hard when I need to and know what it takes to get the grade I want and deserve. My weakness in this class is probably staying concentrated in class. I would say this is my weakness because I love to talk to my friends and laugh and have fun at the end of the day. It is difficult for me to take good notes when I have restless at the end of the day, and am socializing with people.

Encyclopedia Project
1) What have you learned about mathematics through the Encyclopedia Project?
During this project, I have learned all about the history of matrices. Matrices are used in mathematics where there is an array formed as a cubic or rectangular box. Numbers, expressions and symbols are used in this array. They are laid out in rows and columns in the array. They were found over 20 centuries ago in China. They are used in many profession today such as cropping in farming and programming.
2) What have you learned about yourself as a student through this project?
During this project, I have learned that I need to work on my refinement more. I rely too much on getting my work done quickly and efficiently and not going back and editing it later. I recognized this during the end of this project, and I realized that I needed to refine quite a few things. I definitely learned that I need to work on my refinement as I go on this semester.
3) What do you need to do for exhibition preperation to be able to show your audience what you did and learned?
All the people that learned about matrices need to get together and we need to organize our information and examples. We need to make sure that is is clear and concise and interesting for the audience to read and look at.

Semester Exam
What did you think of the last project?
I thought that the semester exam project was a great, engaging project. We could have completed the project much sooner though. I could get about 3-5 problems done per day, and probably spent a total of only 5 hours or so on this project. I really liked the whole project in general, though, and it was a good use of our time because we all ended up helping each other.
How are you going to study for the exam?
I am going to study for the exam by going over the review a lot and if I am not positive on how to solve a problem, I will refer back to the textbook.
I can also study by having my parents quiz me and reviewing concepts with peers as well.
General reflection about the semester: How did it go, what are your strenghts and weaknesses related to working and understanding the content in Algebra II?
This semester went pretty good. I understood most of the concepts, but struggled with some of the quizzes. I thought that the people that taught the class over the week our teacher, Effi, was gone, should've gained a little extra credit because it took more time than I thought out of our lives to prepare and teach the lesson we were assigned to that day. Overall, the class is well taught and I learned a lot from this semester.
