Proyecto de Cuba
During this project, I had to find a popular Cuban food, translate the recipe in Spanish using commands, and finally make our food for exhibition. This project was fairly simple but fun. We had a lot of fun making our foods and talking about Che and Cuba during our exhibition. I made a Tres Leches Cake for exhibition and it was very delicious. In this project, I learned how to conjugate verbs using commands and how to make a delicious cake that everybody will love. I hope that we will be making more Spanish foods in the future and hope that Susy makes the freshman that are coming in next year to do this project.
Las Ramblas
In this project, we had to choose a famous person from a Spanish speaking country, and do a biography on them in Spanish. We had to make an 11-14 slide presentation on our person. We had to write about their life as a child, life as an adult, what they are famous for, etc. We had to use a lot of past tense and some present tense to make a successful slideshow. After the presentation was created, we had to give a minute oral presentation on our famous person. The last thing we did was exhibit our projects, dress up as our person, and act like them. Our audience had to ask 7 questions to us about our person, and we could only speak in Spanish.
During this project I learned how to talk more fluently in the past and present tense. I noticed that my research helps my oral Spanish skills without noticing it at that time. My pronunciation has gotten better in this project as well.

La Casa De Mango Street
In this project, we had to tell our childhood stories in Spanish that were similar to the story, "La Casa De Mango Street." Once the story was translated from English to Spanish, we had to record our Spanish story in a podcast or memo recording. To gain more points, we could also add music and sound effects to enhance our recording.
Short Story Project
Skylar Smith
In this project we had to either create or tell a short story in spanish. This story had to be between 100 and 150 words. We used our knowledge of conjugating Spanish verbs into the past from what Susy taught us to help us better with telling a story that happened in the past.
I feel like it is very important to use past tense in Spanish, because without it, we would only be able to talk in the present and maybe the future. We learned how to use preterite and imperfect tenses to help write our stories. Talking or writing about the past tense in Spanish opens up a whole new section of Spanish, where us as individuals can talk more and more in better and more fluent sentences.

"Day in the Life" Project
Skylar Smith
In this project, we learned how to incorporate reflexive verbs into the sentences that we crafted. Reflexive verbs come in handy when the object and subject are the same. The requirements for the project was 15 sentences completely translated into Spanish, along with 3 of the sentences that had reflexive verbs in them. For each slide or page of our project we had to have a picture illustrating it as well. This was a very fun project, and we had to do a day in the life of a person or thing of our choice. I picked the most interesting man in the world from the dos xx commercial and it turned out to be very good and I am pleased with my final product.
Por Que Statement:
Estudio español porque yo necesito buscar un trabajo por mi amigos y para escalar y méxico.
I think Spanish is a very important skill you must learn. It will help for future jobs that I will have because there are millions of people that speak Sanish in America. It will also help with traveling the world and giving directions to taxi drivers, guides, etc. I will use Spanish a lot in my life and I’m glad that it is a part of school even though it seems pointless at first. We need to reflect back and then we will realize that spanish is critical in our lives.
