Video Project
"A Climbing Documentary"
This was a project on something we loved to do and make a documentary on it. My choice was rock climbing. The hardest part in this project was able to get really good and high quality footage. I think I really improved my skills with iMovie. I am much more efficient with it and know how to do more things on it, for example, slowing down and speeding up certain clips of the video. Overall, this was a very fun project and it makes me want to do more videos and documentaries in the future for fun.

1.) What does it really mean to be a 21st century learner?
I think a 21st century leaner really means to be someone who knows how to work modern day technology, know how to use resources and probably presentation skills. Obviously, later in life, sooner or later we're going to have and interview with a job that we really want. Animas High School will help us prepare better for this situation by starting simple and gradually getting more difficult.
2.) Are you more prepared for your future (at Animas High School or in General) after this project?
In this project, I wouldn't say I learned something new, but knowing that we have to learn from our mistakes. For example, in the first and second drafts, you can see tape marks, and also some of the spray paint is smeared. I was not to happy with my final result either. For one, the green lettering inside the black cross is very faint and hard to read. Their are also yellow spots that look a little sloppy and out of place on the t-shirt. I've never done a stencil before, and this had been a very challenging project for me. It has also been frustrating in the end, because I took a lot of time making sure what to do for my final product and still didn't come out the way I wanted to.

Teacher Creature Project
- The teacher creature project took a course of two weeks to completed. One major tool that I used during this project was the selection tool. This tool was used to copy and paste specific areas into a different image. Another useful tool during this project was the clone stamp tool. We used this tool when an edge we selected was a little rough. The clone stamp tool copies a certain part of that object (ex. top hat), and then you can use that selected area to refine an edge that looks uneven. We also played around with the hue and saturation sliders to adjust our teachers face, and blend it into the same color as our animal.
- The hardest part of the teacher creature project was having to redo certain steps if it didn't get saved correctly. This was very frustrating for me, but a good lesson in the end knowing exactly how to save a Photoshop document.
- My favorite part of this project was messing with teachers faces and making them into something humorous. It was also just fun getting more and more comfortable with Photoshop, because I know later in my life this is going to be very useful.
- The thing I have learned most about myself during this project is knowing that I can be very creative when I get really excited about a project.

Landscape Project
This is my landscape project. The first thing I learned how to do was to copy and paste a certain object or area, for example the flower or the horse and person. The tool in photoshop I used was the selection tool for this. Another thing I learned during the landscape project was distance and proportion. I learned that a smaller object can look just as big as a much bigger object if they are farther or closer away from each other. We also had to name the parts of the image like the foreground, middle ground, and background. We made the text smaller or bigger according to how far the grounds were from each other. We simply did this for emphasis to show that the background is farther away from the middle ground, while the middle ground is farther away from the foreground. This was a very basic photoshop project but showed me a lot in the end.
The Elements of Design
Space |
Actual space is a three-dimensional volume that can be empty or filled with objects. It has width, height, and depth. Space in a painting is an illusion that creates a feeling of depth. The object or the picture plane is divided into positive space (the object itself) and negative space (the surrounding area). Various techniques can be used to show space.

The Principles of Design
Rhythm/Movement |
The use of recurring to direct the movement of the eye through the artwork. There are five kinds of rhythm: random, regular, alternating, progressive, and following. The way the elements are organized to lead the eye to the focal area. Movement can be directed for example, along edges and by means of shape and colour.
